A challenging, exciting opportunity to experience a dynamic, international medical device environment!!!
An excellent opportunity has arisen in a large Medical Devices company in Cork for an experienced Design Engineer who has previous experience in the Medical Devices industry. The successful applicant will work in multifunctional development teams for the R&D of medical devices and liaise closely with a number of groups to achieve manufacturing targets, including Manufacturing Engineers, Supply Chain and Operations personnel. Principle responsibilities of the role include the design and development of devices to performance, time and budget targets; testing and evaluation of prototype designs; and selection of suitable suppliers, raw materials and components.
Requirements: A strong academic background in a relevant discipline is a must e.g. BEng in Mechanical or Bio-Mechanical Engineering. At least 3 years experience in a similar role is required along with strong experience in Pro Engineer or another high level CAD system.
